RBEW / RRN Policies

Responsible AI / AI Exception Policy

AI may assist human creativity at RBEW, but it may not be used to fabricate authorship, impersonate real creators without authorization, or manufacture unsupported ownership claims.

Responsible AI / AI Exception Policy

RBEW permits AI as a creative tool. It does not treat the use of AI as automatically unethical, and it does not require creators to pretend modern creative tools do not exist.

The hard boundaries are authorship honesty, consent, attribution, rights, and human creative control.

1. Acceptable AI use

AI may be used for brainstorming, drafting, reference generation, cleanup, editing assistance, concept exploration, workflow support, technical help, prototyping, temporary voices or visuals, and other assistive purposes.

AI-assisted work may be accepted when a human creator exercises meaningful creative judgment, selection, modification, arrangement, performance, direction, or transformation.

2. Disclosure

Material AI assistance must be disclosed when the nature of the project, RBEW's disclosure rules, a distributor, a platform, a collaborator, or applicable law requires that disclosure.

A disclosure should accurately describe AI's role. It should not exaggerate trivial automation, and it should not conceal substantial generative use.

3. AI output and authorship

RBEW does not recognize a person as the human author of material merely because that person asked a generative system to produce it.

Purely machine-generated material without the required human creative authorship is not treated by RBEW as independently protectable creator-owned authorship under the Copyright & Ownership Policy.

Human-created expression, editing, arrangement, selection, performance, and other protectable human layers may receive recognition to the extent supported by applicable law and the facts.

Nothing in this policy attempts to override copyright law in a jurisdiction that legally reaches a different result.

4. Temporary AI personas, voices, and concepts

AI material may be used as a temporary placeholder, prototype, scaffold, or conceptual representation for a future human-adopted persona or production.

Before human adoption, the AI-generated material itself does not create a permanent exclusive claim merely because someone generated it first.

If a human later adopts a persona, performs the role, re-records material, redesigns a character, or enters a creator agreement, the rights and revenue arrangement are governed by the applicable agreement and human-created layers.

5. Real-person likeness and voice — hard line

You may not use AI to materially impersonate or replicate a real person's voice, face, likeness, identity, or performance in a deceptive or exploitative way without authorization when authorization is legally or contractually required.

Clearly fictionalized parody, commentary, or other legally protected uses are evaluated according to applicable law and context, but "it was AI" is not a defense for fraud, harassment, defamation, sexual exploitation, or unauthorized commercial impersonation.

6. False authorship — hard line

You may not:

  • submit AI-only output as though you personally created the underlying expression;
  • fabricate human credits for nonexistent work;
  • conceal generative AI use when disclosure is required;
  • claim exclusive ownership of generic AI output merely to block others from independently creating similar material;
  • use AI to manufacture evidence of authorship or ownership.

7. Training and source material

A creator using an AI service is responsible for following the rights, confidentiality, and contract restrictions that apply to material submitted to that service.

Confidential RBEW material, unreleased collaborator work, private communications, credentials, or protected customer information may not be uploaded to an external AI service unless that use is authorized and consistent with applicable privacy and confidentiality obligations.

8. Human adoption and compensation

When a human creator meaningfully adopts, performs, rewrites, redraws, records, or otherwise transforms an AI-assisted concept, compensation and ownership are based on the actual human contribution and applicable agreement.

AI is not a loophole for refusing to credit or pay a human contributor who created a compensable human layer.

9. Enforcement

RBEW may require disclosure, corrected credits, replacement of AI material, removal, re-recording, or other corrective action.

Deliberate impersonation, fraudulent authorship claims, stolen source material, exploitation, or repeated intentional concealment may result in stronger creator or account sanctions.
