RRN Presenter Launchpad

Bring your voice to the RRN airwaves.

Presenter Launchpad is RRN’s structured path for approved guest, community, and developing presenters to host a live one-hour broadcast without needing to build an entire station first.

Paid session

$20

One approved live hour. The fee buys airtime access—not promotion, recurring placement, employment, endorsement, music rotation, reviews, or guaranteed audience.

Free community route

2 weekly windows

Mondays, 12:00–1:00 PM Central
Thursday Night at Midnight — technically Friday, 12:00–1:00 AM Central

Scheduling

Plan ahead

Normal scheduling is expected at least 14 days ahead. Availability remains limited during the pilot.

Broadcast day

30 / 15 / :59

Check in 30 minutes early, be connected 15 minutes early, and finish by :59 for a clean station handoff.

How it works

Application → technical test → approval → scheduled broadcast.

  1. Submit a Presenter application with your concept, experience, links, and what you want to put on air.
  2. RRN reviews the concept and may request an interview, changes, or additional information.
  3. Before a first live broadcast, complete a mandatory technical test.
  4. Once approved, schedule a paid or station-supported session.
  5. Submit the rundown at least 48 hours before airtime.
  6. On broadcast day, use the Presenter Portal to check in, connect Web DJ, declare readiness, and request the handoff.

Payment does not replace vetting. Approval and technical readiness are always required.

RRN Presenter Launchpad & Broadcasting Rules

These rules apply to Presenter Launchpad sessions and may also be incorporated into other RRN presenter arrangements.

Approval, booking & what the fee buys

  • Every presenter follows RRN’s application/vetting process. Approval may be full, conditional, revision-required, deferred, or declined.
  • The standard paid Presenter Launchpad session is one live hour for $20 after approval, technical readiness, and scheduling.
  • Two station-supported community windows are available when scheduled: Mondays, 12:00–1:00 PM Central; Thursday Night at Midnight — technically Friday, 12:00–1:00 AM Central.
  • During the pilot, a station-supported community appearance is normally limited to one per presenter every 30 days.
  • Normal scheduling is expected at least two weeks ahead. Pilot capacity is intentionally limited.
  • Payment buys airtime access only. It does not guarantee an audience, promotion, recurring placement, employment, endorsement, chart activity, music rotation, reviews, or official RRN talent status.

Before airtime

  • A first-time presenter must complete a live technical test before broadcasting.
  • A rundown is due at least 48 hours before airtime and should cover the opening, segment timing, music, guests, approved ads/sponsorships, breaks, closing, and 10–15 minutes of backup material.
  • Check in through the RRN Presenter Portal 30 minutes before airtime.
  • The presenter must be connected and technically ready no later than 15 minutes before airtime.
  • The program starts on the hour and must finish by :59. Use the final minute for sign-off and transition.
  • Only individual/temporary presenter credentials may be used. Never request, use, or share RRN master administrative credentials.

Technical expectations

  • Use a computer, reliable internet connection, microphone, headphones, a reasonably quiet room, approved browser/software tools, and a backup contact method.
  • A mobile phone is not the primary broadcast device unless RRN has specifically tested and approved that setup.
  • Presenters must have lawful rights to everything they intentionally put on air.
  • Accurate artist/title metadata is required for copyrighted music. If metadata cannot be supplied reliably, use talk-only, prerecorded, operator-controlled music, or another RRN-approved setup.

Content, guests & callers

  • The presenter is responsible for the content of the program, including guest conduct.
  • Notify RRN of planned guests. Obtain consent, explain the broadcast/recording context, control the interview, and end it when necessary.
  • Live callers are not permitted during the pilot unless RRN has approved a delay/screening/moderation setup.
  • Threats, incitement, doxxing, hate attacks, illegal sexual content, piracy, unauthorized broadcasts, reckless defamation, credential abuse, fraud, sabotage, and comparable serious misconduct are prohibited.
  • RRN may interrupt or terminate a broadcast immediately for legal, safety, technical, licensing, security, or serious reputational risk.

Music-performance complement

  • Within any rolling three-hour period, do not intentionally transmit more than three tracks from the same album, with no more than two consecutively.
  • Within any rolling three-hour period, do not intentionally transmit more than four tracks by the same featured artist (or from the same anthology/box-set grouping), with no more than three consecutively.
  • Do not publish or announce an advance song-by-song schedule that would let a listener know exactly which copyrighted recordings will play at specific times.
  • RRN programming must remain a non-interactive radio experience. Do not create listener-controlled or on-demand copyrighted-music programming through the live broadcast.
  • All copyrighted music must use accurate artist/title information and any additional metadata required by RRN’s broadcast systems.

Advertising, sponsorships & paid placement

  • Presenters may not independently sell advertising on RRN stations without written approval.
  • Any presenter-sold or presenter-arranged paid segment must be submitted in advance with the sponsor/product, script or talking points, length, payment/relationship details, requested play count, and required disclosure.
  • Paid or sponsored material must be identified appropriately on air and remains subject to RRN approval.
  • A sponsor relationship never purchases editorial control over RRN, music rotation, reviews, or unrelated programming.

Recording, clips, replay & archives

  • RRN may record a session for compliance, technical review, evaluation, disputes, promotion, replay, and archival administration.
  • Recording a program does not automatically transfer ownership of presenter-created material to RRN.
  • Replay, archive, clip, and promotional rights must be stated in writing and may differ by episode.
  • A public on-demand replay containing third-party copyrighted music may not be published unless the necessary replay/on-demand rights have been cleared and recorded by RRN.
  • RRN’s episode system treats replay rights separately from the fact that a live broadcast was lawfully transmitted.

Station identification, disclaimer & enforcement

  • Include the station/network identification near the opening and closing of the program.
  • Use the RRN presenter disclaimer or an RRN-approved equivalent: “You’re listening to Reality Central Radio, part of Reality Radio Network. This program is independently presented by [Presenter Name]. The views expressed are those of the presenter and guests and do not necessarily represent RRN.”
  • Late connection or a no-show may forfeit the block, payment, scheduling priority, or future access. Repeated no-shows may result in suspension.
  • Normal enforcement may escalate from correction to warning, retraining, suspension, loss of recurring privileges, or removal.
  • RRN may skip progressive steps and immediately terminate access for serious misconduct, fraud, illegal broadcasting, credential sharing, sabotage, or comparable risk.
