Chronix

Chronix is a three-member Pop-Rock StoryLine Persona group consisting of Tonia Sonic, Sonia Maine, and Hannah Shawns.

Built primarily around Pop-Rock while freely moving into Pop, Dark-Pop, and other contemporary influences, Chronix brings a louder, brighter, and more energetic presence to the RRN Persona lineup. Their music is driven by personality, momentum, friendship, identity, rebellion, and the feeling that life is constantly moving forward whether you're ready for it or not.

One of the strongest original inspirations behind Chronix was HUNTR/X from KPop Demon Hunters.

Chronix ultimately developed into something very different, but that influence remains visible in the group's DNA: three distinctly recognizable women with different personalities and voices coming together to create something larger than any one member could create alone.

They are not designed to become three interchangeable singers standing behind the same logo.

Chronix works because Tonia, Sonia, and Hannah are different.

Tonia Sonic

At the center of Chronix's explosive energy is Tonia Sonic, the group's lead vocalist and primary lyricist.

Tonia is intense, expressive, ambitious, and difficult to ignore.

She is also the black sheep of her family.

That experience feeds heavily into the perspective she brings to Chronix's music. Tonia understands what it means to feel out of place among the people who were supposed to understand you first. Rather than allowing that rejection or disconnect to silence her, she turns it into fuel.

Tonia writes.

Tonia performs.

And when she takes the lead, she does not enter a song quietly.

Her vocal presence is intended to carry an almost explosive quality- capable of driving the biggest Pop-Rock moments of Chronix while still handling the vulnerability necessary when the energy drops and the lyrics become personal.

As the group's principal lyricist, much of Chronix's voice begins with her.

But it does not end with her.

Hannah Shawns

Hannah Shawns brings one of the most personally distinctive stories within Chronix.

Hannah is a transgender woman, and her transition is not simply a piece of background information attached to the character.

It is an active part of her story.

Her experiences with gender, identity, presentation, confidence, belonging, and being seen as the woman she knows herself to be can directly influence both Chronix's music and the developing story surrounding the group.

Vocally, Hannah is intentionally different from what audiences may expect from a conventional girl group.

Her voice is capable of switching between a tenor and alto range, giving her an unusually broad tonal identity within Chronix. At times, she can lean into a lower, brighter, more androgynous register with the expressive qualities commonly associated with a stereotypically gay male voice; at others, she can move upward into a fuller alto sound.

Chronix does not attempt to hide that distinction.

It is part of the group's sound.

Hannah does not need to force herself into one stereotypically feminine vocal register in order to belong in a girl band. Her ability to move between tenor and alto gives the group opportunities for unusual harmonies, vocal layering, call-and-response sections, bridges, and transitions that the other members cannot reproduce in quite the same way.

She belongs because she is one of the girls.

That gives Hannah's story room to say something meaningful without requiring every song she appears on to become a song specifically about being transgender.

Sometimes Hannah's identity may be central.

Sometimes it may inform the emotion underneath a song.

And sometimes she gets to simply be a woman in a band singing about love, friendship, anger, ambition, heartbreak, or whatever else Chronix decides to tackle.

Her transness is part of her.

It is not the entirety of her.

Sonia Maine

Sonia Maine completes the Chronix trio.

Alongside Tonia and Hannah, Sonia forms the third piece of the group's vocal and personal chemistry, ensuring that Chronix is built around three individual women rather than one frontwoman accompanied by two interchangeable supporting characters.

Together, Tonia Sonic, Sonia Maine, and Hannah Shawns form the identity of Chronix.

And the relationships between those three women are just as important to the group as the music itself.

Chronix is fundamentally built around friendship.

They can disagree.

They can irritate one another.

They can have individual ambitions, insecurities, relationships, and problems.

But when the three of them come together, there is a genuine sense that they have chosen one another.

That friendship extends beyond the band.

Chronix and the StoryLine

Chronix exists within the larger Golden Heart Cage StoryLine continuity, but occupies an unusual position within it.

They are close friends with Kaira Heartfelt and are canonically part of her social world, particularly as Kaira's life begins stretching between her small-town country identity and the brighter, faster-moving world surrounding her Pop influences.

Chronix can support her.

They can challenge her.

They can react to what happens between Kaira, Mathew Cage, Johnathan Gold, and the people surrounding them.

And events within that story can affect Chronix in return.

But Golden Heart Cage does not revolve around Chronix.

That distinction is intentional.

While Kaira, Mathew, Johnathan, and Daina occupy much more direct positions within some of the central relationship conflicts of the StoryLine, Chronix exists slightly outside of that core.

They are connected without being consumed by it.

That gives Chronix considerably more freedom for their canonical music to tell stories entirely their own.

A Chronix release does not need to advance Kaira's relationship arc.

It can be about Tonia.

It can be about Hannah.

It can eventually be about Sonia.

It can be about the three of them together.

It can explore friendship, identity, ambition, rebellion, attraction, family, acceptance, growing apart, coming back together, chasing success, or simply being young women trying to figure out who they want to become.

And when the larger StoryLine does intersect with them, those moments can carry more weight precisely because Chronix has an existence beyond it.

Three Voices. One Identity.

Musically, Chronix is Pop-Rock at heart.

Big hooks.

Strong guitars.

Driving drums.

Pop melodies.

High-energy choruses.

Songs designed to feel enormous when all three members come together.

But like many RRN Personas, genre is a foundation rather than a cage.

Chronix can move toward polished Pop.

They can become darker.

They can experiment with electronic production.

They can become emotionally intimate.

And they can pull back into heavier Rock when the story or song demands it.

The constant is the group itself.

Three women.

Three perspectives.

Three voices.

One band.

As part of Reality Builders Entertainment Works' Persona Adoption Program, Chronix presents a particularly ambitious adoption opportunity.

Unlike a solo Persona, bringing Chronix fully to life ultimately requires three performers capable of becoming not merely individual characters, but a believable group.

The performers need vocal chemistry.

They need personality.

They need enough individuality that audiences can develop a favorite member.

And they need enough chemistry together that Chronix never feels like three solo artists who happened to be placed beside one another.

Tonia needs someone capable of carrying her explosive lead presence and lyrical intensity.

Hannah requires a performer capable of authentically carrying a transgender character whose identity, story, and tenor/alto vocal flexibility are meaningful parts of the group.

And Sonia must ultimately become just as individually recognizable as the other two women beside her.

Because Chronix isn't simply a Persona with three faces.

It is a relationship between three people.

A friendship.

A band.

And a story that can keep moving forward on its own- even when the rest of the StoryLine moves somewhere else.

Three different women. Three different stories. One sound that only exists when all three collide.

That is Chronix.
